Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council & Committee Meetings, September 2020


The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council is continuing to conduct virtual meetings.  All meetings remain open to the public and are accessible either from a computer or telephone.    We want to ensure that our neighbors have an opportunity to respond to all upcoming issues and, therefore, comments will be accepted by email up until the JPNC Meeting on Sept. 22, 2020.  Our email address is info.jpnc@gmail.com

Zoning Committee:  Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 7:00pm.  The agenda will include:  1). 387-399 Centre Street, a proposal to convert existing beauty salon to body piercing studio; 2). 68 South Street, a change of use proposal to allow tattoo studio; 3). 34-36 Rossmore Road, a request to demolish existing building at 34 Rossmore Road and construct two new three-family residences.

A request of Nicole Gunn, doing business as CADA DIA Nutrition at 7 Burroughs Street in Jamaica Plain for a 7-Day Common Victualler License with take-out with the hours of 6:00am to 8:00pm,  with Nicole Gunn as manager; 2). A request of DLS Kitchen Inc., doing business as  “Mangú Dominican Bistro” at 264 Hyde Park Avenue in Jamaica Plain for a change in hours of its 7-Day Common Victualler License from 8:00 am – 9:00 pm to 8:00 am – 1:00 am; 3). A continued discussion on how to reform the police.

Housing and Development on Subcommittee on Net Zero Carbon Construction: Monday, September 21 at 7:00 pm. The goal of the subcommittee is to draft recommendations that will help promote net zero carbon construction for projects of all sizes in Jamaica Plain.

Updates and recommendations from the Committees.
