Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council & Committee Meetings, March 2019


Public Service Committee: Tuesday, March 5 at 7:00 pm at Curtis Hall, 20 South Street.  On the agenda will be:  1). A continued discussion on bicycle safety; 2).  The creation of a list of crosswalks and bike lanes needing painting and streets needing repair in Jamaica Plain.

Zoning Committee:  Wednesday, March 6 at 7:00 pm at Farnsworth House, 90 South Street.  On the agenda will be 3231 Washington Street, a change in occupancy from a two-family to four-family and renovations of existing triple-decker including kitchen, baths, building systems; existing siding to be painted or replaced and sprinkler system to be installed) and a presentation by Committee-member Max Glikman of his analysis of City Realty investment practices in JP.  The City Realty presentation will include an opportunity for discussion and Q&A. 

Education Ad Hoc Committee: Tuesday, March 19 at 7:00 pm at Curtis Hall, 20 South Street. On the agenda will be: TBA

Housing & Development Committee: Tuesday, March 19 at 7:00 pm, at Bowditch School building, 82 Green Street (enter at sidewalk level to left of Main stairs). On the agenda will be: 1). An informational presentation by The Community Builders and Pine St. Inn on their plans for 3368 Washington; 2).  A discussion on the redevelopment of the Shattuck Hospital site.

Zoning Committee:  Wednesday, March 20 at 7:00 pm at Farnsworth House, 90 South Street. On the agenda will be: 12 Rock Hill Road (construct new building with fifteen residential units and 26 off-street parking spaces); the return of 79 Jamaica Street (construct new two-family dwelling); the return of 106 Forest Hills Street (demolish existing structure and erect a three-story building with nine (9) residential units with balconies and roof decks and twelve (12) off-street parking spaces); and the return of 16R Robeson Street (construct a new single-family house with roof deck above two-car garage on existing 5730 square foot vacant lot. Two off-street parking spaces to be accessed through 16 Robeson Street driveway).  

Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council:  Tuesday, March 26 at 7:00 pm, at Farnsworth House, 90 South Street.  On the agenda will be: 1). A conversation with Councilor Matt O’Malley; 2). Updates and recommendations of committees.
