The CPCAY presented at the Tuesday meeting of the JPNC and asked for the community’s help:
“The CPCAY has learned that the funding necessary to complete the bus maintenance facility is not in the current MBT CIP (Capital Investment Plan). Â Once the new bus facility is built the MBTA will turn over 8 acres of land that will bring much needed affordable housing, permanent and construction jobs for local residents, as well open and green space. Â In order to see progress on this project, funding for the bus facility at the Arborway Yard must be included in the CIP.
If you would like to urge the MBTA to include the Arborway Yard in the CIP, please make your voice heard!
You can:
1. Sign on to the letter to MBTA GM Richard Davey written by the Community Planning Committee for the Arborway Yard (CPCAY) by clicking here …
OR
2. Take a few minutes and write a personal note to Ricard Davey, General Manager of the MBTA at gm@mbta.com. Â Please let Mr. Davey know about your support for the project and copy your message to the Secretary of Transportation, Jeffrey Mullan at Jeffrey.mullan@state.ma.us and the members of the MBTA/Department of Transportation Board of Directors through the secretary of the board, Yolanda Reed at yreed@mbta.com.
